The WOW Trail , an organization that is working on creating a rail trail in Laconia, NH, is pleased to announce the first annual WOW Festival - WOWfest 2009! This event features two great bicycle rides - including a 67.2 mile ride around Lake Winnipesaukee! All proceeds go to helping to build and maintain the rail trail.

Join us Saturday, September 19th, 2009 at the Laconia Athletic & Swim Club (North Main St., Laconia) to celebrate the WOW Trail. Show your support by participating in one of our main events or just coming to the festival for lunch and a good time.
Take the Lake Challenge - A 67.2 mile bicycle ride around "The Big Lake" - Lake Winnipesaukee (7:30 - 8:30 start) $50
Take the Bay Challenge - A 15 mile bicycle ride around Paugus Bay (10:00 - 10:30 start) $50
Take the Trail Fun Walk - A 2.5 walk for the whole family (11:30 start) $20

A new map of the Ahern State Park mountain biking trails is now available! This map was provided courtesy of the Central New Hampshire NEMBA . They handed these out at the November trail maintenance day a the park.
