Riding your bicycle around Lake Winnipesaukee can be a great experience - but it could be even better if local and state governments worked together to improve and widen the shoulders aroung the lake.
Today, the shoulders go from nice-and-wide to non-existant. Over the coming months we will be documenting the conditions of the shoulders around the lake - and we could use your help. Please post comments here (free membership is required to post comments) and let us know where you think the shoulders are great, where they are bad, and suggested alternative routes that riders can take to avoid the worst areas. Photos of the good and bad are also needed.
Once we have a detailed list of shoulder conditions, we will post the list on this site and we will forward it to the state and local governments to encourage them to make improvements. We will also keep this issue in front of the local and regional media outlets (newspapers, tv and radio) to help put additional pressure on the government agencies that can make improvements.
If you have other ideas, or if you would rather not post your comments on site, please email
.
Thank You for your support!

The lake loop is one of the most popular rides in the state and it is imperative that we make these roads safe for bike traffic. Thanks, Jim, for helping to raise awareness. Let's get it done.
