An interesting variation to the 63+ mile ride around Lake Winnipesaukee is to combine a ride with a trip on the Mount Washington cruise ship. The ship departs from a number of locations on the lake including Weirs Beach, Alton Bay, Wolfeboro, Center Harbor and Meredith. (Use this link to get driving directions to each port of call - http://www.cruisenh.com/direction.html ).

You can buy a one-way ticket on the ship, and cycle back to your starting point. Depending on where you start and where you get off the ship, you can cut the amount of miles you cycle dramatically, while still enjoying the best views of, and from the lake.
